civil society can step up its engagement with the investment system and c
hallenge it in the interests of accelerating delivery of the Sustainable D
evelopment Goals and the Paris Agreement on climate change\n The role of
European policy-makers in creating an effective regulatory framework tha
t makes Europe’s investment industry competitive while serving the publi
c interest.\n\nWhat we want to achieve:\n\n Articulate a compelling visio
n for a European investment system that drives sustainable business practi
ces in Europe and beyond.\n Build on the interim recommendations of the H
igh-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance\, to debate next steps for c
ementing Europe’s lead as a global centre of excellence in responsible i
nvestment\, while influencing standards in other regions of the world.\n
Present exemplary case studies in responsible investment\, policy-making a
nd regulation to cross-pollinate best practice across European borders.\n
