SUMMARY:SUSTAINABLE FINANCIAL MARKETS: What can be expected beyond financia
 l sustainability?
DESCRIPTION:The European capital markets ecosystem is expected to contribut
e to long-term sustainable development. This means that investors should b
e well equipped to take into consideration other aspects than the purely f
inancial\, such as materially relevant environmental\, social and governan
ce (ESG) factors\, in an integrated and transparent manner.\n\nHowever\, t
he incorporation of these broad and sometimes internally contradicting com
ponents as well as the evolving policy framework and industry practice pre
sent significant challenges for the actors involved. During this year’s
CEPS-ECMI conference hosted by ABN AMRO Clearing in Amsterdam\, policy-mak
ers\, supervisors\, market participants and academics are invited to share
their experiences and views on the implementation of the sustainability i
 n financial markets.\n\nHosted by\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n13:00 - 14:00 Regi

role for financial infrastructures in addressing sustainability?\n\nFinan
cial market infrastructures (FMIs) sitting between investors and issuers p
rovide trading and post-trading services for which the impact of sustainab
ility can be less obvious. However\, many call for a stronger involvement
from such facilitators of financial market transactions to promote/discour
age (un)sustainable investments. This session will discuss the extent that
FMIs and other players can contribute to substantially changing the inves
tment/securities value chain.\n\n 	 Pauline Engelberts\, Global Chief Op
