Impact festival Katapult Future Fest brings global investors and entrepreneurs to Amsterdam

After seven years in Oslo, Katapult Future Fest (KFF) is moving to Amsterdam. From 27- 29 May 2026, the international impact festival co-organized with TWIST and Katapult Ocean, will bring together more than 1,000 investors, entrepreneurs, creatives, artists and thought leaders at Tolhuistuin and Ruigoord.

Supported by DOEN Foundation, the City of Amsterdam, JRF Transforming Wealth Lab, CarbonFix and The Good Investors, the festival marks a new chapter for KFF, evolving from an annual gathering into a growing platform for impact-driven collaboration.

Unlike traditional conferences, KFF combines high-level investor dialogue with immersive cultural programming. Collective conversations, debates, working labs and unconference sessions – where attendees set the agenda – accelerate regenerative business solutions and connect capital to impact. Intimate community dinners will also be hosted in homes across the city, creating informal spaces where global investors and local changemakers can meet as equals.

Since 2017, KFF has convened over 3,500 participants from more than 55 countries and has helped catalyze initiatives such as TWIST (Together We Invest for Systems Transformation) and the Coalition for Impact.

“Extractive systems have carried us this far, but no further. We are in the chrysalis stage of economic evolution: dissolving what no longer serves us, and shaping what will. In Amsterdam, with its egalitarian spirit, startup ecosystem, and creative culture, we convene to imagine and build what comes next. KFF2026 is where the metamorphosis begins.” Said Tharald Nustad, Founder of Katapult Future Fest and Katapult

Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam responsible for the portfolio of Economic Affairs, Sofyan Mbarki: “We are excited that Katapult Future Fest is moving to Amsterdam. Amsterdam has always been a city of innovation, driven by creativity, courage, and collaboration. And Katapult Future Fest fits right in. Collaboration between businesses, financiers, and change makers drives meaningful change and that is exactly what the festival is all about. Together, we shape a resilient, inclusive future that inspires far beyond our city. I am looking forward to it.”

Carol Gribnau, Executive Director at DOEN Foundation: “Katapult Future Fest embodies a new wave of impact gatherings: intimate, value-driven, and designed to spark surprising encounters. It’s a global platform where impact capital, creativity, and systems change truly meet. Rooting it in Amsterdam strengthens the momentum for transition and reinforces the long-term, ecosystem approach we stand for at DOEN Foundation.”

The festival opens on 27 May with an Investor Day at Tolhuistuin, convening 400+ family offices, foundations and impact-focused financial intermediaries. Discussions will focus on how capital can support systemic and regenerative solutions.

On 28- 29 May, in creative collaboration with Ruigoord, KFF expands into a two-day immersive programme featuring storytelling, participatory workshops and unconference-style sessions, allowing participants to actively shape the agenda.

Five themes guide the programme:

  • Investing for Systems Change
  • Deep Tech & Humanity
  • Oceans & Nature
  • Regenerative and Bioregional Futures
  • Culture, Creativity & Consciousness
